Vitamin C Serum: Morning or Night?

When to apply Vitamin C, why it loves Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid, and how to store it so it stays fresh.

Vitamin C is one of skincare’s best-known antioxidants. It helps defend the skin against everyday environmental stress and supports a brighter, more radiant-looking complexion. But when is the best time to use it?

Why mornings work best

Your skin faces the most environmental stress during the day — sunlight, pollution and heat. Applying Vitamin C in the morning, under your moisturiser and sunscreen, lets its antioxidant support work alongside your SPF.

Can you use it at night?

Yes. If mornings are rushed, evening use is absolutely fine. The most important thing is using it consistently. Just keep exfoliating acids and Vitamin C on separate occasions if your skin is sensitive.

Better together: Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid

Vitamin C is often paired with Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. Together they make a classic antioxidant trio, with Ferulic Acid helping to support the performance and stability of the formula — the idea behind our Vitamin E + C + Ferulic Acid Serum.

How to keep Vitamin C fresh

  • Close the cap tightly after every use.
  • Store away from direct sunlight, in a cool place.
  • Amber glass bottles help protect light-sensitive formulas.

A note on tingling

A slight tingle can happen with Vitamin C. If it turns into burning or lasting redness, rinse it off and reduce how often you use it. As always, patch test first.
